Hi my name is Kelly and thank you in advance for reading this
I am a 43 year old mum of 5 beautiful children and live in Margate Kent I was diagnosed with breast cancer
in July 2023 3 months after giving birth to my daughter. During my pregnancy i spoke to drs and midwives telling them that my breasts didn’t feel right and that they was sore swollen and itchy every time I was told that this was normal without them doing any kind of examination at all, after my daughter was born by emergency c-section due to her being small I had my normal appointments with health visitors and midwife’s and I again raised concerns that I had no milk production and my breasts was still very sore swollen and itchy again I was told this was normal and that things would get better again I was never examined I went to the dr in June 2023 with what I suspected to be an infection in my breast, the dr did an examination and said he would be referring me for tests on the 2 week cancer pathway I had my first appointment and mammogram a week later and this confirmed I had her2 triple negative breast cancer and the tumour was huge
I had pet-ct scan to check the rest of my body and to stage the cancer 10 days later I received the worst news it was stage 4 and had spread to the lymph nodes and femur and sternum bones I was told I would need 6 cycles of chemo followed by a double mastectomy followed by radiotherapy treatment started at the beginning of September 2023
I completed my chemo and was told the cancer had responded to treatment and would need immunotherapy ongoing so I carried on with the treatment and every 3 months when I saw the oncologist I brought up the subject of the mastectomy and radiotherapy to be told every time not yet I wasn’t even sent for repeat mammograms
fast forward almost 2 years and I was in a huge amount of pain in both breasts and begged my oncologist to make me another appointment to see the original consultant who had diagnosed me and who had said I would be having surgery
when I saw him he said as I was stage 4 surgery wasn’t something they would normally do but he would send me for a repeat mammogram
I had that done a week later and was told the cancer had gone to the other breast and lymph nodes
I have been doing research into other treatment options around the world and have been offered treatment in Germany they are confident of a cure after seeing my scans and blood tests. We had a house that we had been renting out so we spoke to the tenants and told them we would have to put the house up for sale, from this point on the tenants withheld rent and refused to move out forcing us to start eviction proceedings they went and got legal aid solicitors and have been using every trick in the book to delay the eviction the latest thing is to say the property is in disrepair so the court has ordered a survey to be done and have listed another hearing for the end of September, the tenants have caused a huge amount of damage to the property as well as not paid rent for over a year, even if the court goes in our favour in September (it should do as the survey has stated there is no disrepair that is down to us to repair) we will still be looking at another 2 months minimum after the September hearing until we can get baliffs in to evict then we have a huge repair and clean up to do as the tenant currently has 18 dogs in the property unfortunately I just don’t have the time to wait and need treatment asap I’m absolutely desperate I just want to be there for my children and to see them grow up
if anyone can spare even £1 every little bit helps or if you could share this that would be fantastic
thank you again
