Help for Pete and Pat

Do you know Pete and Pat Carson? Well, if you don’t you should! Pete is known all around Chester and the surrounding areas because he is so friendly and giving.

My name is David Batchelder. I met Pete when he was working at Vermont Hardwoods. We quickly made friends and have enjoyed each other’s company over the years. I believe that Pete and his wife Pat deserve this fundraiser because they are always giving so much of themselves to everyone who knows them. It is common to see Pete delivering homemade chili or horseradish to the local businesses in Chester or out fishing for trout. He still manages to work part time for Vermont Hardwoods and has always been the first to offer kind words and gifts to those he knows.

Recently several major problems have surfaced with their home. While trying to repair the house another issue appeared with the bridge that crosses the stream to their house. It was deemed in safe for use. They also have a large tree that needs removal. It is in danger of falling on the house during a storm or high winds.

We would like to invite the community to join us in raising money to help with the cost of building the new bridge and the costly repairs to the house etc. Now is the time for the community to come together to help out a local who never asks for help, but is always the first to offer it.
