Pearl is the beloved mare of our friends Lori and Channing, and has recently suffered a serious founder.  This is a very painful inflammation in her feet, caused by a series of issues including previously undiagnosed Cushings disease.   She has several complicating factors,  but she is also a really tough, life-loving girl with a team that loves her so much - she can make it through this!     

Mario and I are Pearl's hoof trimmers and friends for around 8+ years now, and my mare Faith is Pearl's friend, snack-sharer, and neighbor.  We are doing everything we can to help, including reaching out to our most trusted hoof care and founder specialist friends in the trenches for advice.   Pearl seems to have stabilized with a lot of intensive care, including the exhausting task of Lori and Channing getting to the ranch every 6 hours, medicating and treating her.  They are rock star owners that every horse deserves, but especially a beloved ranch mascot like Pearl.  We believe she is starting her path to full healing.

 Her owners have already poured many hundreds of dollars into her care, with vet visits, medications, supplements, bedding, etc. and are facing a long road of continuing expenses to help their Pearl girl.  Please consider a donation to help our friends, every little bit really helps and we will ALL be so grateful!
