Hi my name is Destin and I am doing this on behalf of my uncle Pastor Richard (Bud) Counts and my Aunt Lora. My aunt and uncle and my entire family have been going through a huge trauma over the last month. My cousin Lily died in a car crash a few weeks ago and it's been tragic knowing how hard she fought to be a beautiful person and amazing mother of 2 children under 2 yrs old that didn't make it to her 21st birthday. My Aunt Lora was so heart broken and felt so much sorrow for our family and for her own relationship with Lily. They were very close. While preparing for Lily's funeral, several of my family members caught covid-19 and while everyone else seemed to recover Aunt Lora got worse and worse, ultimately needing to be hospitalized. She ended up on a ventilator a short few days after being admitted, then dialysis and blood pressure stabilization. We remained faithful to GOD'S will but we were also hopeful that meant a miracle for her. She continued to decline until she went into multi-organ failure and a stroke and we were told she would not survive.
We lost two beautiful souls in our family over the last few weeks. My Grandmother Gloria (Lora's Mom) will have to say goodbye to her third and final child left living. My cousin Jackie who is Lora's daughter is going to have to find a way to cope as a mother and losing her daughter Lily, without having her mother there to comfort her. My Uncle Pastor Richard Counts is going to have to find a way to live on without his lifetime partner that he has known and loved since he was 17 years old (41 years of marriage). Her 7 children and 17 grandchildren (6 great-grandchildren) will lose their Mom/Nay-Nay and not have her amazing smile, kind soul, loving heart, good cooking, incredible patience, persistent testimony of Jesus, leadership example of serving her community, and all that we know of my Aunt Lora. Her community, friends, and family all adored her and she will be greatly missed.
The massive void left by her passing is going to make it unbearable for Uncle Richard to live their with the memorys of so much love and happiness in every waking footstep of his home. He is also still raising Josiah, my 16 year old cousin and my Aunt Lora was a huge part of their financial support system. I am asking for help for him because he doesn't feel he should, when he knows the countless people who also need help, but my Uncle Richard has a real need right now. He has not been able to work due to needing to be at the hospital everyday twice a day and dealing with all of the medical. While there was a life insurance policy, it is not enough to get the family back on their feet. He's not seeing how quickly the medical bills, funeral expenses, loss of income, buying new healthcare etc. will add up. He's just too heart broken by the pain of what's going on. I am asking for help for him to show him everyday miracles can still happen, and try to make this tragic time less hectic, and lighten the burden from his shoulders. stopping him from laying his wife to rest the way she wanted to be. Please guys I know how hard times are right now but if you can donate anything, keep praying, and share this link, I know we can make this happen and lighten the load of weight on his, and his family's shoulders right now when they need it the most. The Bible says God never gives you more than you can handle, and that GOD is good all the time. Right now their hearts are breaking from what they are having to handle and they need the help. Please help me in supporting them in their hour of need guys. Thank you and GOD Bless. Sincerely, Destin
