Prayers for Pam and Cancer Battle
Donation protected
You never think it will happen to you and then it does.
Pam is a 62 year old beautiful, caring, and completely selfless woman. She is married to her beloved soul mate Michael Dearstyne, the mother to two girls Kelsey and Lexi, the stepmother to Cameron, Cate, Sarah and Marcus and step grandma to Tyler, Abby, Lilly, Maddie, and Bodie, and dog mom to her most loyal companion Bentley.
Pam taught special Ed for 26 years, she is now retired and lives a beautiful life with her husband in Sunset Beach NC. Pam enjoys walks on the beach, interior decorating, and teaching a ladies exercise and stretch class in her local neighborhood but spending time with her friends and family particularly her two daughters is what makes her the happiest. She is extremely loyal to her family and all of her friends. She doesn’t know a stranger, Pam has always been the type to make friends with anyone and everyone from the grocery store clerk, to the mail man. Anyone who knows and loves her would describe her as a beautiful, kind, compassionate, full of life, always being silly, amazing human being. Pam is also a woman of great faith in god.
A month ago she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, but the doctors said not to worry she would be completely fine. They told her this type of cancer was 98% curable and she would most likely beat it and live a normal life. But two weeks ago she became extremely ill and had to be taken to the hospital, they ran many different tests and ultimately ended up finding multiple cancerous lesions on her liver these however were stage 4 cancer that had spread from her breast.
Her family is in complete shock, they are still all just tying to process it because it all happened so fast, a month ago she completely fine. It’s been extremely hard on her two daughters Lexi and Kelsey as they are trying very hard to stay strong and positive but the love they have for their mom is enormous and seeing her so sick is breaking their hearts.
Pam struggled with other minor health issues before this, and her husband Mike struggles with an auto immune disease. They have already spent countless amounts of money the past few years on other medical issues and many, many doctor visits their insurance takes care of some but not all of them.
The ultimate goal is to get Pam better enough to be able to go home and be comfortable, hoping that it will allow her to get better faster. But they will still be spending more once she’s home on in home care and aids.
We are asking anyone who is willing to donate(any amount is appreciated) in order to help with all of the medical bills they will face.
We also ask if you are a person of faith to please pray for her and her road to recovery.
All her family wants is to see that sparkle in her eyes again and manage her pain as best as they can. Hoping that whatever time she has left on earth whether it be 6 months or five years are good ones, spent back home in Sunset Beach with her most loyal friends and family.
Her family will continue to update everyone on her condition as time goes by.
Pam along with her family are all extremely grateful for any amount that people want to donate.
