Hi I'm setting up this GoFundMe, because I have heard so many of you wondering "How can we help?" while Roberta and James navigate through scary and stormy waters, as they support their son during his life-threatening hospitalization. Their son was a big, strong 25 year old when he was suddenly hospitalized. Within a few days he was in the ICU in Healdsburg, then Santa Rosa, and now in San Francisco. His parents Roberta and James were high school sweethearts and have always been there for each other, their dogs, and now critically, their son. "Being there" was a lot easier when he was in a hospital less than 30 miles away. Now that he was transferred to UCSF....being there is a logistical AND financial challenge. NOW they have to drive 2 hours each way in just to be by their son. If they decide to commute daily, they are facing huge costs in fuel and San Francisco parking fees. If they are exhausted (and they are exhausted every almost every day) and stay overnight in San Francisco, they are facing exorbitant food, lodging, and again the city's infamous parking fees. Hoping this modest GoFundMe campaign makes it easier for those of us who know this family, to show them how much we love and care for them. Thank You.
