Please help our Daisy Doo

On Sunday 05/07/2020 Our beloved 2 year old French bulldog Daisy was playing in the garden she stood on her back legs with her front ones on a seated family members knee when she let out a huge yelp and then started limping. Initially we thought that she had pulled something in her leg nothing serious so we made her rest for the rest of the evening.
The next morning Monday 06/07/2020 Daisy woke and her back was hunched over into an arch, she was still limping and was in a lot of pain so we took her down to our vets where they did an examination and said she would need sedating and an x-ray but because she had eaten her breakfast (nothing stops this dog from eating!) She couldn't have it done that day. She was given strong painkillers and sent home with an appointment for the next morning.
We took her in The next morning 07/07/2020 for her x-rays and afterwards the vet informed us that she had ruptured a disk in her lower spine and also had something wrong with one of the bones in her right leg some kind of thinning? Anyway her x-rays have been sent to a consultant who will have a better understanding of what we are facing and Daisy for the time being has been sent home with strong pain killers anti inflammatories and is on strict crate rest only being carried out to use the toilet and to eat.
We were informed that she would need to be transferred somewhere else and would need an MRI scan to determine the length of damage which would cost between £2300-£2500 alone and then depending on the severity possibly surgery which is no less than £4000 it varies depending on where you have it.
This is where our dilemma begins.
During lock down Daisy's insurance was up for renewal and we always shop around for different prices and purchase new insurance but with lock down, home schooling two children (one of which has special educational needs), my own studies (teacher training) and my partner still working it completely slipped my mind. I feel tremendous regret and guilt about this and I haven't been able to stop crying.
I don't want people to think that I am someone who just doesn't want to pay for my own pet and her insurance and thinks nothing like this will ever happen to us because this isn't the case at all. We have two other dogs who are both insured but they aren't all insured by the same insurer as this for us bumped the cost up massively! They are insured with different insurers.
Daisy's renewal just came at such a busy stressful time and her injury at an even worse time! She is insured now but its too late for this issue now unfortunately! The thought of not being able to get her the help she needs is breaking my heart
I have contacted charities we are out of catchment area for PDSA and the RSPCA won't help us. We can't get any sort of finance that isn't an option and our vet won't do payment plans (only offer finance) she would need to be transferred somewhere else for the scan and surgery anyway.
I am a student and my partner is the only one working we have 2 children so we just don't have that sort of cash avaliable.
Daisy is our family pet, my children love her so much as do we. She is usually such an active, affectionate and happy little dog who loves chasing her ball this is just awful!!
I am determined not to give up and to try and help her anyway I can. Asking people for help isn't usually something that I would do but this was suggested to me by a number of people one of which told me to swallow my pride and embarrassment because it's not about me so here I am!
Any help big or small or even just a share of the link would he massively appreciated!
We are hoping that it doesn't come to surgery but we need to prepare for every eventuality.
Any money left over will be donated to FLOOF the French bulldog rescue ❤
Thanks for reading xx
