Help for our brother Mohammed and family in Gaza

Bismillah,

Assalamu Alaikum Waramatullahi Wabarakatuhu.

Hi I am Edelyn and like many globally - I am grieving what is happening to our brothers and sisters in Gaza. I am from New York and I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker that privately assists individuals who have been directly impacted by economic and war crises.

My friend Zeinab and I originally created this fundraising campaign to help our brother Mohammed raise money to purchase essentials for him and his family to survive. However, as the situation worsens, our main goal now is to facilitate safe evacuation starting with Mohammed's elderly parents first. We will continue to support Mohammed and his family with their basic needs privately.Brother Mohammed’s dad leg was seriously wounded and burned by their house explosion.

Both of mohammed parents are diabetic with high blood pressure. Because of the lack of medical supplies and the fact that all of the hospitals in Gaza were destroyed, Mohammed dad is now facing the danger of getting gangrene and sepsis! His foot is already infected and the situation is very serious, as being diabetic means that his body can’t fight infections especially skin and tissue infections!

Mohammed’s dad can not walk or do anything by himself and needs his wife’s assistance all the time, so we are hoping to evacuate them both together.

Mohammed is an english teacher and is currently living in a tent with 14 other family members, and has a total of 40 family members living in other tents.

It's a blessing that Allah provided us with the opportunity to be able to help Mohammed and his family in this way - and inshaAllah you'll join me in giving whatever you can. All money will be used for evacuation and visa processing. Please note that this platform deducts a small transaction fee per donation(2.9% + $0.30, which includes debit and credit charges).

The funds you contribute will accomplish the following:

Safe Evacuation: We have identified an agency names Hala that is willing to assist with evacuation at 5,600 USD per adult plus a $850 travel fee per person at this time. We will be assisting in evacuating Mohammed's elderly parents which will bring us to a total of $11,200.

The goal is to immediately relocate them to a safer place outside of Gaza and away from imminent danger. The only way for them to leave Gaza right now is through the Egyptian borders - namely through the Rafah crossing point. The situation is getting worse everyday and we need to act immediately. A friend of ours will be opening her vacant home to Mohammed and his family in Egypt to reside in rent free to help them get on their feet in the initial few months.

My friend Zeinab and I are in constant communication with Mohammed and have verified the legitimacy of his story through videos, photos, and live video calls. The money Allah has entrusted us with is an amanah, so we made sure to screen thoroughly and confirm. Remember that we are not helping them, they are helping us inshaAllah...as every cent you give will be a means of reward in this life and the next. May Allah accept from all of us, this is the BARE MINIMUM we can do for our brothers and sisters.
