Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

We come to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your support for someone very dear to us, Carol Clark. She is not just a friend but a beacon of light in our lives, in the lives of many others, and especially her five grandchildren. Unfortunately, she is facing a very threatening challenge – the need for urgent heart surgery.

A few weeks ago, Carol suffered a small stroke and is in danger of another if she doesn't have surgery to close a hole in her heart. Most don't know that she has been dealing with having factor 5 blood clotting disorder and a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) blood clot in her leg. The doctor has advised her that this mini stroke is a warning for more to come.

Patients in her situation normally have a heart monitor for 30 days however, the doctor told her she needs this surgery within the next two weeks.

Most also don’t know that Carol was laid off from her job in 2022. She has since found employment but that came with a 50% reduction in pay. Due to that she unable to maintain heath insurance at this time.

This information would not normally be shared in such a public way but with her permission, it's all we can think to do to help her.

Despite Carol being incredibly strong and resilient, her financial situation doesn't align with the overwhelming cost of the surgery and ongoing medical care. The burden of these expenses is one she shouldn't have to bear alone.
