Help For Nurse Mary

Donation protected
My wife, Mary, suffered with BID (Breast Implant Disease) for 6 years and had a double mastectomy – Xplant surgery in January. She dealt with chronic fatigue syndrome and immune disorders that totally changed her life from a being high energy person who loves to exercise to one struggling to get through the day. Her illness was a mystery for many years. Ironically, she was fortunate and found a lump. So she was immediately scheduled for surgery due to the possibility of the tumor being cancerous.
We are very thankful that the labs came back cancer free but due to a horrible infection the surgeon had to go to great lengths to excise all the damaged tissue. Mary’s body rejecting the implants, silicon leakage and the raging infection is what caused Mary’s illness. This has left Mary looking like a “lawnmower ran over her chest”. Her words not mine. The Surgeon said it was the worst case he has ever seen. This of course has left Mary distraught to say the least. Plus, without insurance all this had be paid out of pocket.
Mary has never asked for help, putting herself through Nursing/Paramedic school as a single mother while raising her boy on her own without child support. She became an Emergency Room Nurse and worked at Parkland and JPS for over 5 years where she treated the poor and helped save many lives. She also was a Paramedic on an Ambulance in Hood County (Granbury) for 5 years where she treated and saved even more lives. Currently, Mary teaches other people how to save lives as she is a paramedic skills training Instructor at Tarrant County Community College on a part-time basis. Many of you know what a kind soul Mary is as she loves nature and animals. Seriously, she feeds the birds and squirrels every day, puts sugar water out for the hummingbirds, takes care of the racoons, fox and opossums. Really, her nickname is Snow White.
Mary is not a candidate for reconstructive surgery but she found a treatment that could make her look normal. Only a couple of Plastic Surgeons in the nation do this procedure which is called Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation. Basically, the surgeon uses fat to build her some breasts. Dr. Bednar in North Carolina seems to be one of the best and says it will take 3 surgeries that will cost $26,543. We have put a deposit down and have an appointment for the first surgery on August 6th. Funds are needed to pay the balance for the first surgery which is $7k and is due in two weeks. Your help is greatly appreciated and all funds will go towards Mary’s surgery.
