Can you imagine the shock at my inability to speak more than a few words after an event six months ago...
It was early September 2020 and I was a couple of hours away from our weekly FB Live interviews for Time of the Sixth Sun when I experienced an anomaly.
I was at my computer and suddenly out of the blue, both my arms went dead from my head, down my arms all the way to my fingers. My fingers became like flippers and I was totally confused. I couldn't type or tap the numbers on my phone.
I shut the computer down and called the paramedics.
It took two hours for them to arrive by which time my stats were all fine and they put the experience down to the neck and advised I have it checked out. I saw my cranio-sacral therapist a few days later, or the' Wizard Warlock' as he is known, but the neck turned out to be fine.
After several months of seeing myself go downhill and many many sessions to find what could be happening to me. My speech started to deteriorate in December/January and my left hand began to miss the keys on my computer keyboard due to a numb right hand and now I can no longer type or write properly ... suffice to say I do both with great difficulty.
From being a highly cerebral person to the decline I have experienced over the last six months has been very shocking to me, and none more than my friends who are at a loss of what to do or how to help me.
So my GP finally ordered an urgent CT Scan (which took 8 days!!!) to be followed up by an MRI Scan on the 4th May plus a myriad of tests. At least I hope to be getting some answers soon.
One thought is that either a virus or a parasite has made its way to my brain and caused havoc with my central nervous system - that's one of the options... I really don't want to face the other options till I have more tests done.
So I am raising funds for my treatment in the hope that I can get to see a neurologist fast track and to enter the hospital system without having to have a test or a vaccine. My brain has enough to deal with I think!
So to my dear Time of the Sixth Sun- ners, I ask that you put a little into the pot ...and only if you can afford to. I guess I 'blew a gasket' in the making of this film, and so to you brothers and sisters, if I can ask for a bit of help from you now, it seems a chance worth taking.
