Help for Niki and Leila after the loss of David

My name is Stephanie and I am writing this to help my amazing sister-in-law Niki and 1 yr old niece Leila after the sudden and tragic loss of my brother David on December 22nd. David was officially diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery in September. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with a very rare and very aggressive brain cancer called Meningeal melanocytosis. Due to how aggressive the cancer was, he was never even able to try experimental treatment. David fought hard with Niki always by his side (he was in the hospital for over 2 months straight), but unfortunately he lost his fight on the Wednesday before Christmas surrounded by his family. He was only 37 years old.

David leaves behind his wife Niki, who never left his side through all of this and was such an amazing advocate for him. Sadly and unbelievably, this makes her a widow for the second time. He also leaves behind Leila, his mini-me that we call junior, who just turned one in October during this battle. We are heart broken that she will not get to experience how amazing her daddy is while she is growing up, but we will make sure she always knows how much he loved her and what a cool dude her dad was.

Besides leaving a big whole in everyone's heart and in their little family, Niki has been left with end of life costs, lots of bills, loss of her income while she was by David's side, loss of a second income and increasing child care costs. We have tried to help out and best we can, but the expenses keep adding up.
