Help for Nicole’s Medical Treatment

Hello, my friend Nicole Cisterna Arriagada, has been hospitalized since February of 2024. She is currently hospitalized at Kentfield Hospital. Nicole is suffering from a very rare condition called Guillain-Barré Syndrome. She started feeling sick in December of 2023 with what started with a simple cough led to being very progressive then pain and numbness in her legs then next her immune system shutting down. This condition has Nicole on a breathing tube, and her whole body paralyzed. This is going to be an extremely long battle and recovery. It has been very hard for her husband Daniel and two young Children. A few of us were able to visit her and witnessed her condition which was very devastating.

Her family really needs your help to help pay for medical treatment and months of physical therapy and recovery. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. All funds donated will go straight to Daniel Reyes for paying medical expenses and anything left over will go to gas from a long commute from San Jose to Kentfield. And for Nicole’s childrens’ basic necessities. Nicole has a 1 year old daughter named Helena and 9 year old son named Augusto. Unfortunately Nicole’s husband Daniel Reyes is unable to keep his job due to having to be the primary care taker for his children. They are also from Chile and recently moved to California so they don’t have much support here which is extremely heartbreaking.

GBS is a rapid-onset muscle weakness caused by the immune system damaging the peripheral nervous system. She is in the acute phase of the disorder that is life threatening that has affected her breathing muscles and is requiring mechanical ventilation and paralyzation.

Hola, Mi amiga Nicole Cisterna Arriagada, se encuentra hospitalizada desde febrero de 2024. Actualmente se encuentra internada en el Kentfield Hospital. Nicole sufre una enfermedad muy rara llamada síndrome de Guillain-Barré. Comenzó a sentirse enferma en diciembre de 2023, lo que comenzó con una simple tos se volvió muy progresiva, luego tuvo dolor y entumecimiento en las piernas y luego su sistema inmunológico se apagó. Esta condición tiene a Nicole conectada a un tubo de respiración y todo su cuerpo paralizado. Esta será una batalla y una recuperación extremadamente largas.
