Help for Nick and Michele Belde

On May 16,2020 Nick Belde was involved in a devastating accident while riding his Harley in Western Wisconsin which resulted in several traumatic injuries. Nick grew up in the St. Paul Como neighborhood with his 8 siblings. He was a member of the 1983 Hill Murray State High School hockey championship team. He was a Ramsey County probation officer for 30 years. Nearly losing his life numerous times Nick, with his wife Michele always at his side, fought hard and  after 10 difficult months of surgeries and procedures he returned to his Hudson WI. home a week ago to continue down the slow , difficult road of recovery. Nick is unable to use his legs and hands at this time. Their list of needs is long and expensive . Their bathroom will require remodeling to enable Nick to shower . Metro mobility does not offer its services to Hudson residents and transportation to and from various health care appointments are costly. Nick’s insurance will not cover any of these essential needs including in home assistance to move him from his bed to his wheelchair or shower chair. I humbly call on all family, friends and coworkers to generously contribute to this effort to assist Nick and Michele.
