Hi, you all know me, some maybe not if this has been shared.
My name is Ellen Longmate, wife of Jason Longmate, we’ve been married for 28 years and I’ve loved him my whole life.
In October 2025, Jason felt unwell and went to A&E with vision problems.
Scans done, bloods taken etc and it was then thought he had mini stroke. He was then referred to the stroke clinic for more investigation.
At that appointment we were then given the devastating news that he had a suspected brain tumour. From that day on our world has crumbled.
More scans, appointments and then a biopsy which finally led to the worst news we could ever receive as a family, Jason has a grade 4 Glioblastoma tumour in his brain. They can’t operate on it to take it out as they said it was diffused. So only radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be offered.
If any of you look into this, the outcome is devastating. I will do anything for my family to have more time with Jason.
I have done some research and there is medication being trialled in London using immunotherapy which does help to give patients more time.
Dr Mullholland has had some success with patients who have responded well to this treatment. This is the report of some of the success

There is a cost to this as it is only offered as private treatment, and requires Jason to go for this therapy at the clinic in London every week whilst on chemotherapy.
We are also now in India receiving more targeted oncology support for Jason.
This is where we turn to you to ask for a donation, however big or small to help us give Jason more time to be with us his family and friends. He has so much more to do yet, and he has given so much with being in the Army. Any small donation no matter how small would be so gratefully received to help with the cost of this treatment.
Our two boys Austin 21 and Jenson 18, will be forever grateful to have more time with their dad ❤️
Thank you each and everyone of you for even reading our story. Our heart breaks everyday with this news, please keep Jason in your thoughts and pray for the best outcome ❤️
