Hi, we are Troy and Lara Weatherholtz and we are raising funds for our long-time employee and friend, Nando Henriquez-Portales, and his family. Nando began working for Superior Landscaping, Inc. in July 2005. He has been a dedicated, hard-working, integral part of our company for nearly 19 years. Just before Christmas, 2023, at the age of 49, Nando was diagnosed with stage 2/3 rectal cancer. The day after diagnosis Nando showed up to work and said he wanted to work until he couldn't. And he did. He is being treated at the National Cancer Institute and has been undergoing radiation and oral chemotherapy. Once he has completed those treatments, he will begin IV chemotherapy for several months and then will likely need surgery. Although Nando wanted to be able to work with us on days/hours he feels up for it, his doctor has advised against it. Nando ALWAYS has a job with us however right now (and for the next several months), his body needs rest and support.

Nando is the proud husband of Agustina and papa of Blanca (16), Eris (14), Ana (13), Jesse (9) and Breni (8). As a company, we are assisting Nando and his family. But, Nando has done so much for so many and now it is our turn to give back. We are looking to raise an additional $5,000 to assist with medical bills, rent/utilities, and gas to go back and forth for treatments as he is physically unable to work for the foreseeable future.
