Hi, my name is Sunrise and asking for any help for my broken down Berlingo.

For those who know me will know I’m currently living in my van most of the time. This is to enable me to help and support my son and be close buy to take care of and feed my cat and the other family cats.

My Berlingo is also my safe space, it helps with my depression, other mental health issues and mobility problems. I have degenerative osteoarthritis of the spine, 5 collapsed discs and small (non cancerous) growing tumours in the vertebrae of my spine. I’m in constant pain and not able to use public transport.

When I can’t get out in nature my mental health suffers and I feel really low. Nature is my medicine! I’m feeling pretty isolated now and can’t get out to meet people.

My Berlingo has an emergency and is off the road. It needs repairs for a new alternator drive belt and the spindles.

I’m not sure how to raise the money for the repairs and constant financial help for my son. He’s living in an old derelict garage with no power or heat. He had some respite by using my vans battery to top up his but this is no longer possible.

Some of the donations will go to buy him gas canisters to keep warm and winter clothes.

Due to my disabilities I can’t work, I’m living on benefits and PIP. I feel pretty awkward asking for help to be honest but I’m putting this out there hoping some of you can help in any way at all. I’m being open and vulnerable to ask for help.
