Help Mike as He Recovers from Cancer

Hi, my name is Shannon and I am starting a GofundMe for my older brother Mike. Mike was diagnosed with colorectal cancer 2.5 months ago. He was informed that surgery was needed to remove the tumor and that he could expect to be in the hospital for 3-5 days. He went in for surgery 53 days ago and remains in ICU today. His stomach was punctured during surgery allowing for 'leakage' to enter his stomach and start an infection. He has needed 6 surgeries to stop the infection. I truly believe that we nearly lost him at least twice. The infection still remains and we do not know when he will be released from the hospital. Once he is released from the hospital, he will need to goto a rehab facility for physical therapy and such. It is completely unknown when he may be able to return home.

With Mike in the hospital, he has not been able to work and he is becoming increasingly concerned about finances and supporting his family as he knows that it may be awhile before he is able to work again. This GofundMe is to ease this stress from Mike so he can focus on healing and not worrying about how to pay the bills. It has been heart breaking to watch Mike endure this misery and I am hoping we can give him one less stressor in life.
