Hello Everyone,

I will start this off by saying that there is good news for us, and that is my grandfather is awake and breathing.

The bad news is that he has a long road to recovery. He recently got a bad case of pneumonia and also found out he was diabetic so it hit him hard. Since he has been in the ICU for some time, insurance has stopped covering past a certain day.

The cost of being in the hospital is around $2,500 a day. Since this cost is a bit outrageous, the only thing I could think of was to help start a GoFundme. Anything you can help with is appreciated by much more people than myself. On behalf of my whole family, thank you for donating!!!

My grandfather is one of the most hard-working people I have ever known. Born in Germany, raised in South Africa, he met my grandmother in Mexico, and just after 3 or 4 months of knowing each other, they got married, moved to Peru, and have been together ever since. I have traveled all over Peru with this man. He is not only my grandfather but he is my friend. He has a lot of life left to live to be in his 70s so as I mentioned above, I wholeheartedly thank everyone who makes a donation. <3
