Hi my name is Guy, I am raising money for my dog Sam. I rescued Sam and his brother Dean from a dog rescue centre in a northern community in Ontario. They both have been enjoying their life in the country for the past 8 years. But about a month ago, Sam got sick, he started to bleed from the nose. I went to the emergency animal hospital and they prescribed antibiotics to see if that would solve the problem but it didn’t. During my second visit they referred me to a specialist which I will be seeing in a few weeks. Sam will need new tests; an endoscopy and an MRI, I was told to be prepared cause these tests will cost me between $6,000 to $8,000. My friends and family know I would do anything for my dogs, even though some people don’t understand that, but they are my kids!! When my partner of 30 years passed away last June, it is these dogs that kept me going. I would do anything for them but as a retiree especially with our economy at the moment, it will be very difficult to come up with that kind of money. That is why I am coming to you for help, not fro me but for Sam. Sam (and Dean) will turn 8 years on April 1st, and I cannot imagine letting Sam live with that condition for the rest of his life.
