On Friday April 10th, my daughter Cassidy Russell was in a horrible car accident. She was hit head-on by a wrong way drunk driver, then T-boned by another car in a secondary collision. She had to be cut out of her car, which was obviously totaled. She spent several days in the ICU trauma unit with a fractured skull, swelling, bleeding and bruising on her brain, a broken nose, and multiple burns all over her body. She will eventually heal, but it will be a long road of recovery and physical/occupational therapies.Cassidy was on track to graduate college soon with a certification in automotive mechanics and has a 4.0 GPA in a male dominated field. She is very hard working, takes extra shifts, etc. If you want an example of what a beautiful soul she is, the police at the accident scene said all Cassidy kept saying was that she tried to get out but was stuck—she wanted to make sure the other driver was okay! Talk about selfless. However, now her life has been turned upside down. She will be on indefinite medical leave from her job, but without pay. I am asking for help with anything you can give for her. With no income she is in need of help with prescriptions, medical supplies, bills and everyday expenses. I am helping as much as I can but have limited income is well. Me, my Mother and Cassidy's boyfriend are providing her with the 24/7 care she needs. Thank you for reading this, and please pray for her.
