Donation protected
On Wednesday 9/16/2020 in the evening my mom called me to let me know that my dad got rushed to the hospital by ambulance because he had severe stomach pain and was vomiting excessively. Once in the hospital and after a bunch of tests they found that he had pancreatitis and immediately admitted him.
Once they were treating him for the pancreatitis they then noticed his breathing was off and admitted him to the ICU. After a few days in the ICU they said he had a blood infection and then now he has a blood clot near his liver which is making part of his pancreas die.
As you can tell it has been one thing after another this past week and it's still not done because he is still admitted in the ICU and from talking to him he doesn't seem to be doing too well. He is confused, having trouble catching his breath and slurring his words, making me very concerned.
If anyone knows my dad you know that he never worries about anything unless it is serious; if he is worried you need to be too. He has been in the medical field going on 32 years; from a paramedic for 23 years to then working in the ER for another 7 years, and now working as an EMT in PA. Apart from being a first responder he is a father, husband and a new grandfather and needs our help.
Unfortunately he does not have insurance and while in the hospital my mom has tried to receive insurance help and they say they do not qualify. So, as you know these medical bills, whenever he gets out, can be VERY expensive. I don't know if his medical bills will be $12,000 or not, but anything helps. If you can please donate to try and help then please do so, anything is appreciated. If you can't, I understand, we are in tough times, but please share if you can!
