Hello everyone.

I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my uncle Waylon Charley. My uncle is currently in the ICU at Alvarado Hospital Medical Center. Two weeks ago, they found a blood clot in his lung and since then, his health has deteriorated. He’s currently on a ventilator. His kidneys and liver have stopped functioning. He’s scheduled to have surgery sometime today to drain fluid from his abdomen. Since all this happened, he hasn’t been able to work. My uncle is the only family I have here in San Diego. I’m trying to be there for him as much as I can. Those of you who know him, know him as a “gentle giant” and how much he would go out of his way to help anyone. It’s very unlike him to ask for help for himself, but I’m asking for him. I’m trying my best to help him, as he’s always been there for me. I’d like to raise enough money for him, because it’s unclear how long he will be out of work. While he has health insurance, he wasn’t prepared for this financially. This money will be used to help with medical costs not covered by his health insurance, rent, utility bills, food and any other expenses related to his recovery.
