Help for my best friend Deanna Beyer and Rob…

Hello my dear friends and family,

I am writing to you because my best friend of 21 years just lost everything in a horrible fire. Many of you know her. Deanna might have just taught you chair yoga a few weeks ago from my studio on Zoom. Perhaps you attended one of several yoga retreats we’ve lead together.

For the past two years Deanna and Rob have been sacrificing greatly to clear a property and one day build a home in North Carolina. They have been doing all the work themselves and paying for it as they go. At present there is no power or water on the property. Rob brings in water and is working daylight to dusk.

Deanna has been temporarily working a job away from the property and taking care of her parents who are very ill.

Rob and Deanna have been living in a 20’ diameter tent with all their personal items as well as all the tools. While Deanna was away this week, Rob was starting dinner on a small propane stove and a leak developed. A raging fire engulfed the tent and destroyed everything including food, all their clothing, 2 computers, cell phone, books, furnishings, chainsaws, all other power tools plus building materials and supplies. Luckily, Rob and his dog Marcus made it out just in time.

I am asking for your help as they try to rebuild their lives. Their loss is estimated at $40,000.
