Help for Ms Kathy

If you’ve ever spent any time with Kathy Kane, you know she has an immense love of holidays, Dr. Seuss, mac and cheese, and making children smile. We also know Ms Kathy is a planner. If you’ve had the pleasure of co-oping in her classroom, you know you’ll arrive with every detail already in place and extra time to spare.

 

Unfortunately in life, some things can’t be planned for. Kathy was recently diagnosed with cancer and will be going through chemotherapy in the coming months. During that time, and perhaps longer, she’ll be unable to work. The reality of the situation is Kathy will need to lean on her community. It is our chance to pay forward some of the love and care she has shown her students, friends, and school families.

 

Once the shock of the news wore off, Kathy handled her diagnosis with her signature positive attitude and “can do” spirit. But this will be a long winter for her and she’ll need the support of her community and the people she loves very much. This help includes funds to help with medical and living expenses, visits to keep her spirits up, cards from our kids, nourishing meals, and rides to appointments.
