Help for Mr. Steve

Our beloved preschool teacher Mr. Steve will be having an amputation surgery following repeated complications with diabetic foot.

This all seemed rather sudden and a fast turn of events but in reality, he has been battling with so much pain for so long while caring for his grandmother and caring for our children. Rain or shine, he is always the first to greet us with smiles and hugs. Harper had an especially difficult time adjusting to being away from home but he wiped away every tear and held her hands through those months of drop offs. He’s always at the center of planning parties for the kids, thinking of fun crafts and other projects, bringing in new music and materials and snacks. It breaks my heart to know that during all this not one person knew of all the pain leading up to this surgery today. And even knowing that the uncertain road ahead will be one of immense difficulties, he remains positive. I think I can speak for all the parents at our preschool when I say that we were all incredibly lucky that our children got to witness his resilience and strength and ability to smile through the pain. Stepping Stones will not be the same without you but it’s not goodbye - We can’t wait to see the healthier you very soon Mr. Steve.

Please donate anything you can. Mr. Steve will need to install ramps, safety bars and other medical equipment/ aids in his home. He will also need therapy, medications, and other necessities since he will be out of work indefinitely at this point. Thank you.
