Help for mother of 4 battling LCH

Donation protected
I am starting this go fund me for my big sister who has been diagnosed with a very serious rare disease called (LCH)Her husband has had to take time off of work to help with their 4 children and to care for my sister...Leaving them in a tough financial situation. This makes commuting difficult and treatment options difficult as well. Please find it in your heart to help my big sister and her family. She is so young and it’s not fair please help prolong her life. Love and light! - Tandra (Lanna’s baby sister)

Below is a timeline of events from my sister Lanna

On 5/3/19 I went into the ER for prolonged ongoing stomach issues, upon CT of abdomen the bottom of the lungs showed something alarming so a repeat CT of the chest was done revealing innumerable lesions and growths throughout the lungs. 7/6/19 after countless tests, a brochoscopy, and lung biopsy, the diagnosis of Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis was given. In short, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare cancer in which the body makes too many dendritic cells. Dendritic cells are a form of histiocyte, or white blood cell. These cells play a role in the body’s immune system. They can be found in the skin, lungs, stomach, bone, eyes and intestines. In LCH, dendritic cells build up, forming tumors and disrupting the normal function of tissues. LCH is a form of cancer and often, but not always, requires treatment with chemotherapy. It most commonly affects the skin and bones but can involve any organ in the body, including lymph nodes, lungs, liver, spleen, bone marrow or brain.
After learning what we were dealing with could quite possibly have multi system involvment, I was sent for a PET scan which has set off numerous red flags within the colon, spleen, liver, endometrial canal, and right ovary. I am having to travel to numerous apointments as this is considered a rare cancer, 1 in 1 million people have it. My husband has had to take FMLA to stay home with our children during my appointments and to also care for me. There is talk of chemotherapy in the near future, it looks as if our current situation will not be coming to an end any time soon. I have been refered to the Loma Linda Cancer Center which means Chemotherapy will take much travel as well. We are going through a terribly hard time in our life once again and could use any help from family and friends available.
