Help for Mother & 4 Kids left by Joe Johnson

On February 8, 2021 an incredible father and husband, Joe Johnson, was tragically killed at our family home in Idaho Falls by a police officer mistaking him for a suspect while in foot pursuit through our neighborhood, leaving behind myself (his wife of 19 years) and our 4 children, ages 5 to 12. He was adored by everyone that knew him and this loss is beyond understanding.
Joe was the sole income earner for our family. He worked hard every day as a mechanic to support our family while I took care of the kids and our home. He was so proud to buy us this house a few years ago and make a nice life for us. Everything he did was for his family. Not only have our lives been destroyed by the unimaginable grief of his life being taken from us, but our safe space and family home was violated in the most traumatic way possible. I now have funeral expenses, 4 children to support on my own, general living expenses, and to find a new place to call home, all while still paying monthly expenses for a home I cannot bring myself to live in with our children. We are currently staying with extended family and I am so grateful for them and everything they've been helping us with, and for all the support the community has offered thus far.
All of the funds raised here will go towards the above mentioned needs--directly to me, Joe's wife, Bree Johnson, to pay for funeral expenses, and to support me and our children due to the complete loss of our household income.
