Hello Friends and Family
Many of you know my mom Bobbie.. And if you know her, chances are you know of her as a humble, giving, loving, selfless, healthy, youthful, beautiful woman.
My mom has lived a very health conscious lifestyle all of my life..a double marathon runner, she's never put anything unhealthy into her body. She's been a women who has lived her life always helping and serving others.. Shes amazing..Helping children, homeless, elderly, counsel and ministered convicted juvenile criminals and so on. She's never asked for anything, nor would she ever. She never complains and has always been humble and thankful for the simplest of life's gifts.
Bobbie has battled with "fibromyalgia" for 10 years now along with additional health challenges during this time. Over the past year and more recently she was experiencing constant excruciating debilitating pain throughout her entire body. She had visited her doctor who told her there was nothing that could be done, "it's the fibromyalgia" and sent her home. After 4 months in this condition, things became serious and a series of emergency room visits followed ultimately becoming nearly fatal. She finally had to be admitted. Kidney function was failing along with major inflammation and a host of other symptoms. She needed 600 mg of steriods to help get things stable and go through a kidney biopsy to diagnose her condition. A rare disease was discovered called Anca Vasculitis a disease that affects kidneys and respiratory function which without intense treatment one cannot live..there is no cure. She's been very sick.
The only thing that can save her is treatment given for cancer (though this is not cancer) to hopefully arrest the disease. This risk of treatment also compromises the kidneys and they may have to be sacrificed to save her if necessary. This should have been caught much sooner.
I spent my 50th birthday in the hospital with her and my prayers were answered when she made it through the biopsy, endless tests and pain she endured.
We are learning the challenges and treatment that will now be necessary to sustain life with more than half of her kidney function lost. Expenses to cover ER visits, Hospitalization, extensive lab work and radiology tests & treatment, Dr. Appts to get a team of doctors to treat each element of the condition and the treatment going forward will not be easy as it adds up quickly. She has accrued an extensive medical debt and the stress of this debt is not a friend to the condition. She cannot work and only has social security to live on and is limited physically.
Bobbie's birthday is Monday May 13th and for my belated 50th I would be so thankful for any offering, donation, and/or sharing to raise funds to help her cover some of the expenses as a gift to her for this special birthday. There is no time limit on this.
My mom would tell me NOT to do this as she is one who is always thoughful for others who are in need ahead of her own needs. She is always the one to give. I will not tell her about this gift until it is complete and then present it to her.
Thank you so deeply for anything at all, it will help more than you know. Please share this post as we need all the help possible. I know she would be the last person to receive or ask for anything but one of the most deserving, humble and grateful on Earth. With the deepest gratitude and love.
Thank you much
