Kristin Lost Home to Almeda Fire - No Insurance

Kristin Hailey, my mom, lost her house and everything she owns in the Almeda/Glendower fire on Sept 8th, 2020 in Talent, Oregon.
After the police evacuated her, she left on foot with her purse and the clothes on her back. Thankfully, a passerby was kind enough to offer her a ride and get her out of immediate danger.
When she returned, she found that the fire had completely destroyed her home, along with every other home in the Totem Pole community. It destroyed at least 700+ other structures in its path.
Her money is very limited, as she lives on social security and she does NOT have insurance.
She is 62, disabled, and was recently diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. She is overwhelmed and NEEDS HELP. I feel awful for her because she was finally to a place where she was comfortable and happy and BAM it's just all gone. I want to try to help her get back on her feet and into a place, she can call her own.
My sisters and I are trying to raise money to help get her back into an apartment instead of living out of a suitcase. Any donations/funds would go to an immediate shelter and/or a deposit for an apartment, food, healthcare, clothes, and other essentials.

The community has been so supportive and generous. We cannot thank you enough. She was able to get toiletries and get some clothes - which is a great start - but it is going to be a long road to recovery. We have reached out to several organizations including the Red Cross and applied for assistance through FEMA, but no one is able to offer anything concrete at this time.
Seeing the loss and devastation in the community is nothing short of gut-wrenching. Talent has always held a special place in our hearts and we are confident the community can rebuild in time. Seeing the way everyone has come together, offered donations, their time and/support, has a way of restoring faith in humankind.
