In the months before his passing, Mikey never had a moment's rest. He worked multiple jobs while overcoming one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after another, all in a desperate effort to provide for his wife Dayna and their two daughters, Sophia and Gabrielle, a safe place to call home. Tragically, he never got to see his work come to fruition.
After purchasing a modest mobile home, hidden expenses and unforeseen setbacks made the move far more difficult than Mikey had anticipated. With support from friends and family, but lacking any other viable options, the home was moved onto a lot that was nominally suitable, but lacked water and electrical lines or connections. Of course, and as anyone who knew Mikey could have easily predicted, he refused to give up. During the process of moving the mobile home off the moving trailer and into position, one of the moving company's workers suffered a heart attack. Without hesitation, Mikey stepped in and attempted CPR in an effort to save the man's life. Although his efforts were unsuccessful, those who knew Mikey would not have expected anything less from him.
Unfortunately, later that day Mikey himself began experiencing serious health problems. A week later, he was being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. After two more weeks of hopeful indications that he would soon recover, Michael Dominick Crispo, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 52. But not before giving the gift of hope to others through organ donation.
Dayna, Sophia and Gabrielle are now facing an impossible situation. The mobile home Mikey worked so hard to provide for them is not ready, still without the water, electrical, and other connections needed to make it habitable. He took a risk on buying that mobile home because his family desperately needed a safe and stable place to live. Their current living situation was untenable before, but now it is less than that. The mobile home was their only way forward. Without him, they are left with a place to live but into which they cannot yet move, and no clear path forward without significant help.
Indeed, though he is now laid to rest, his work is not yet complete. This fundraiser was created to help Dayna, Sophia, and Gabrielle know the safety and stability for which he truly gave everything to provide. We hope and pray that by doing this, Mikey may rest in peace.
**Our immediate priorities are:**
1. Complete the water, electrical, and other work needed to make the mobile home safe and livable.
2. Keep the mobile home and lot payments current while the family works toward establishing a stable source of income.
3. Provide food, transportation, and other basic necessities during this difficult transition.
4. If donations exceed these immediate needs, any remaining funds will first be used to repay the loans that made it possible to move the mobile home to its current location. After those obligations have been met, any additional funds will be applied toward reducing the remaining financial burden of the mobile home itself, helping preserve the stable future Mikey worked so hard to create for his family.
Mikey gave everything he had for the people he loved. He spent his final months building a future he never had the chance to see completed.
With your help, we hope to finish what he started.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of Dayna, Sophia, and Gabrielle. If you are unable to contribute financially, we ask that you please share this fundraiser with others who knew Mikey or would like to honor his memory.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during this incredibly difficult time.
