In 2021, my cousin Michael was diagnosed with IPF (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis). Since then, Michael hasn't been well and had to stop working because he was physically unable to work any longer. With countless trips to the hospitals in Corner Brook and St. John's for medical exams, testing, treatment plans, and check-ups, Michael and his family recently received the news that there is nothing more that can be done here, and he now requires a double lung transplant. With this comes a very high financial burden. But before he can be placed on the transplant list, Michael needs to move to Toronto, Ontario. As you can imagine, this will be very expensive for Michael and his family. So, to help alleviate this financial burden, I'm helping out by setting up this GoFundMe with the hope that people will find it in their hearts to help Michael with this next step.
