Help for Merlin - Critical Dental Care

Hi dear friends, family, and animal lovers,

On Saturday, November 25th, I found that my beloved cat, Merlin, was missing his lower left canine tooth. In a panic, with no idea when he lost the tooth, I contacted emergency vets and ultimately scheduled an ASAP appointment with his primary provider. After an initial exam, it was determined that Merlin likely has an advanced form of gum disease, and had already lost some smaller teeth. The vet stated that a full dental exam and cleaning under anesthesia were needed to determine the extent of the disease, with likely further tooth removals.

To say this news was devastating is an understatement, and was amplified once I received a quote for the cost of treatment. I recently had to pay for several major automotive repairs, and cannot reasonably afford the care needed to further diagnose and treat Merlin's dental issues.

For anyone who knows me knows Merlin is my baby, and for many years now its been just the two of us on our own. We frequently have dance parties in the living room, snuggles in bed at night, and all out chases around the house during playtime. I joke that he is my "angel-gremlin-familiar" due to his incredibly sweet and frisky personality, and our deep best friend connection (of which I've never experienced to this level with another animal).

I have never done anything like this before, but with my immense love for Merlin, I am reaching out to my extended community for support in raising funds to provide him with the necessary medical care, potential surgery, and ongoing treatment required to fight his gum disease.
