Help for Medical Recovery

My aunt Patty has been faced with a major medical issue over the last couple of weeks that had her hospitalized for 15 days.  She originally went to the hospital because of stomach pain and was diagnosed with diverticulitis.  After being sent home with antibiotics and resting for a couple of days, the pain worsened, and she had to go back.  She then had to undergo surgery due to a perforation and sepsis. 

She now has a colostomy bag to help her intestines rest and heal and is going to be off work for the next 4-6 weeks and then again when she has the second surgery, which will be another 4-6 weeks recovery time.  It will be 3-6 months until the colostomy bag can be removed.  She is going to be recovering at home with the help of friends and a home health care provider to assist her with her medical needs.  Being off work is going to place her under extreme financial difficulty.  I have created this account for her to try and offset some of the stress so she can focus on getting better. She will be getting short term disability through AFLAC but it is not enough to even cover her mortgage payment.  If you know my aunt Patty, you know she is always there for her family and friends and would help anyone that she could! She has always been a hard worker so being off work will also be a struggle for her.  If you can donate to help ease this burden during this tough time, I know she will be extremely grateful! She is already a survivor of breast cancer and I know she will conquer this as well!
