Help for Medical Bills to Fight Brain Cancer

Hello, my name is Paula, and alongside my sister Nairobi and brother Anthony, we are fundraising for our mother, Annette.

A couple of months ago, my mom started having extreme headaches and weakness on the left side of her body, unable to raise her arm or leg. We rushed her to the hospital after symptoms continued, and after an MRI, it was confirmed she had a brain tumor.

After undergoing neurosurgery for a biopsy, the incredible neurosurgeon was able to remove 90% of her tumor. The biopsy results concluded the tumor was a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer. My mom received occupational, speech and physical therapy while at the hospital, but she is still experiencing minor paralysis on the left side of her body. Thankfully she is now home and will start chemotherapy and radiation end of August.

Annette has six grandchildren, is a loving mother and is cherished by family and friends; this news has been difficult for us all. She is a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and despite this shattering news, her faith has kept her strong and positive during this difficult time.

If you live around the Denver area, you might have had her as your Uber driver or perhaps seen her selling her handmade crafts on Chamber street.

During this time, she is not able to work nor drive. With all of her medical bills beginning to stack up, we ask for any donations to help cover medical bills, including chemotherapy, radiation, at-home physical, occupational and speech therapy, and other expenses she may encounter during treatment and recovery.

Hola, mi nombre es Paula y, junto con mi hermana Nairobi y mi hermano Anthony, estamos recaudando fondos para nuestra madre, Annette.

Hace un par de meses, mi mamá comenzó a tener dolores de cabeza extremos y a sentir debilidad en el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo, incapaz de levantar el brazo o la pierna. La llevamos de urgencia al hospital después de que los síntomas continuaran y, después de un MRI, se confirmó que tenía un tumor cerebral.

Después de someterse a una neurocirugía para una biopsia, el increíble neurocirujano pudo extirpar el 90% de su tumor. Los resultados de la biopsia concluyeron que el tumor era un glioblastoma de grado 4, una forma muy agresiva de cáncer cerebral. Mi mamá recibió terapia ocupacional, del habla y física mientras estaba en el hospital, pero todavía tiene una parálisis leve en el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo. Afortunadamente, ahora está en casa y comenzará la quimioterapia y la radiación a fines de agosto.

Annette tiene seis nietos, es una madre amorosa y es querida por familiares y amigos; esta noticia ha sido difícil para todos nosotros. Ella es una firme creyente en Jesucristo y, a pesar de esta noticia devastadora, su fe la ha mantenido fuerte y positiva durante este momento difícil.
