Help For Matt (Ace) Ventura

Hello, I’m Matt’s sister Diane. I’m sure most of you that know my brother, know our whole family. I have started this fundraiser for my brother in hopes to collect funds that can help take away some of his financial burdens so he can focus on his road to recovery. He his regaining his strength and healing a little more with each day, but we also want him back in DFW so he can be close to his family where he belongs in case of any other medical emergencies. Here’s a little background of my brother’s medical history to get a better understanding of what he has been through already at the young age of 35. It’s been almost 10 years since Matt had his first heart attack which almost killed him. He had to get a implantable cardiovascular defibrillator to keep his heart beating at a normal rate. He’s been in and out of the hospital numerous times and this last time, just a few weeks ago, required him to have another risky surgery to repair two leaking valves in his heart. To not have the surgery was not an option because without it, the doctors were only giving him 6 months to live and with another baby on the way, he knew he had to get it done. The doctors didn’t think his body was strong enough to pull through the surgery, but thanks to God, after five long hours of waiting, we were told that he made it. He was also made aware of other health issues he has now as a result of the heart medications he’s been taking all these years. Matt has to be on these medications for the rest of his life and with no insurance, it gets expensive, so expensive that there’s been times he had to go without them. He was told by his heart doctor that he cannot work in his condition and he’s applied for disability, but he just keeps getting the run around from them causing him to get more and more in debt and at the same time bringing on lots of stress and worry because he has a series of appointments with specialist he needs to see for his heart, kidneys and also an ENT doctor in the next month. First and foremost, we are very thankful for all his friends and family that have kept him in your prayers. We definitely know my brother is loved by many because Matt is one that will go out of his way to help others in any way he can. We believe that God has a great plan for my brother as he has continued to be blessed. Along with continued prayers, I am asking if anyone finds in their hearts to donate whatever you can, we would greatly appreciate it. For my brother to know that he has this fund to help him will definitely be a reassurance that his financial problems don’t have to be his biggest concern at this time.
