Help For Martina Stannish
Donation protected
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of our beloved family member and "team mom" - Doreen Stannish. Her passing comes as a complete shock to the softball community and to anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind a grieving mother, brother, husband and a very special and talented 12 year old daughter - Martina.
It was through softball that Martina and Doreen shared their greatest bonds. They both shared an unmatched love and passion for the game. Doreen played an active and vital role within our softball community and with the Long Island Pride organization. Aside from being Martinas biggest fan and the teams most boisterous supporter, she took on the role as "team mom" and managed all travel accommodations for the team. Her vibrant and larger than life personality made our Pride team more of a Pride family.
Doreen had very high expectations for Martinas future. Her education was of utmost importance as Martina is currently enrolled in honors classes and maintains honor roll status as a student at her middle school in West Babylon. Doreen and Martina shared ambitious goals of continuing her softball career while receiving a high level education and had been working very hard towards those goals.
This Go Fund Me is created to ensure that the wishes Doreen had for Martinas future and education are fulfilled.
No 12 year old should be left without their mother. It is our responsibility to be that "village" it takes. We are calling on the entire softball community and to anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Doreen to find it in their hearts to assist in any way possible to ensure that Doreens vision and wishes for Martinas future and education are sought out.
We thank you in advance for your support, prayers and well wishes.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will be deposited into a custodial account for Martina and overseen by her legal guardian, Joseph Baier for the sole intent and purpose of Martina’s future education.
