Help for Mark Guthrie’s Medical Expenses

Hello Friends. My name is Patricia May and I’ve set up this GoFundMe page with Greg Kirn, for Mark and Cheryl Guthrie. We are hoping to help with overwhelming medical expenses that Mark has incurred. After Months of ill health Mark was airlifted (this alone was $16,000 ) to The Cleveland Clinic for treatment. The plan was for Mark to undergo his 4th Mitral Valve Replacement. They were waiting for the surgery to be scheduled, but acute symptoms resulted in urgent surgery which took place on Thursday September 9th. The surgery itself went well but post operatively, Mark developed blood clots which caused a stroke. This required a second immediate surgery to remove the clots. At present he is sedated and his prognosis is unknown. In addition to Medical expenses, Cheryl is paying for food and lodging by the clinic at $300 + per day.

Mark and Cheryl are both Graduates of CMHS. They met in 1973 and married in 1977. They’ve spent 43 years supporting and loving each other.
