Yesterday was an extremely hard day for my family. My mom (LuAnne) and my sister's (Emily) home caught fire, thankfully everyone is okay, but within 10 min nearly all of their possessions were gone. Everything is either destroyed or has severe smoke and/or water damage. One of the hardest parts of this situation was all of my sister's softball equipment, trophies, medals, bats, gloves, bags, catching gear, and countless memories were destroyed. She's been playing travel softball her whole life and if anyone knows this family they know that every weekend revolves around softball tournaments and practices. Along with all of the softball things a lot of family heirlooms and pictures were lost and it’s just been a devastating blow for my mom especially. They have a long and hard road ahead of them rebuilding their lives so I’m asking for any help you can give them, every little bit counts.
Donations can also be received at First State Bank in Heyworth or Bloomington under the name “LuAnne and Emily’s Fire Recovery Fund” which was graciously setup by Julie Armstrong and Toni Hunt for anyone wanting to help. These ladies have been amazing and can help with any questions about how to help my mom and sister during this difficult time.
