I will share what I believe about Logan's passing. He often looked so strong and healthy, that some people might not have been aware of his physical condition. To start with, Logan was born 12 weeks premature. While in third grade, he was attacked by the H1N1 virus, (swine flu) a SARS virus similar to the current enemy we are all facing now. It took a while to realize his body had sustained damage beyond what was apparent. Logan battled tachycardia, cardiomyopathy and various forms of arrhythmia for years, often falling into congestive heat failure. Although his heart would repair itself over time, each virus that hit him would be 10 times as severe for him as for one with a healthy heart, and would throw him back in to heart failure. For the past several years, he has been also battling "autonomic nervous system dysfunction" as part of this . You might think of this as a severe form of chronic fatigue.
To quote Logan, "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired."
There is not a plan for a service for Logan. He had not been in Ohio for long. His friends are so many and are in several different States. His family is also broadcast across the East Coast.
PLEASE do not attempt to send flowers, because where would we receive them?
I have already been asked to use my vacation time to pay for the time I am absent from my SALARIED position.
Peter Brent is also in a similar situation.
There will be a gofundme created by a family friend to help with final expenses related to the death of our loveliest man. There was a lease on the apartment for another 10 months, an apartment Peter will no longer stay in. We have been working for days to sort and order and now need one more day to clean. There will be expenses for transportation and disposal of Logan's remains.
So given this, if you feel the need to express condolences, please feel free to make a monetary donation to help cover these costs. The money will be used directly for this.
At times like these, the last thing the grieving family should need to deal with is financial concerns.
Thank you to everyone for your messages and outpouring of love.
