Hi everyone,

I’m just asking for a little help for my sister, who has been the victim of an electrical fault fire that has caused substantial damage to her home.

Unfortunately, there are also some issues with the insurance, which is just adding another strain to an already incredibly difficult situation and making things even harder for the family.

I’m not asking anyone to empty their bank account or give what they don’t have, and I’m certainly not begging for charity. All I’m asking is for a pound, or anything you can spare, to help this family get back on their feet and start putting their lives back together.

The main thing is that, thankfully, no one was hurt — including the neighbours and the people in the surrounding houses. We are incredibly grateful for that.

But the devastation of losing so much to a fire is something you can’t really explain until you experience it. To make matters even worse, some of the remaining belongings have been left vulnerable, and people have actually been trying to steal from the property. It’s absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking.

We have lived here all our lives. This is our community, and local people have always looked out for their own. We look after each other.

So, if you can help, even if it’s just the price of a coffee, it really could make a difference. No one ever asks for something like this to happen, and having everything you’ve worked for damaged or destroyed is devastating.

Every little bit will help this family get back on their feet.
