This fundraiser is to help an elderly lady cover the cost of emergency vet treatment for her 14 year old Chihuahua, Pixie.

Pixie recently had a traumatic accident which caused her eye to come completely out of its socket (a condition called proptosis). She has since had to undergo two operations. The first operation was to try and put her eye back into the socket to save it. Unfortunately, just a few days after the operation, the eye had died and began to shrink, so Pixie then needed a second operation to have the eye removed.

Despite her age, Pixie is a strong little fighter and still has so much love to give.

So far, the total vet bills have come to over £1,900. This has created a big financial strain for her owner, who just wants to make sure Pixie can continue to be cared for and live comfortably in her later years.

Pixie isn’t “just a dog” – she is her owner’s family, comfort, and best friend. At 14 years old, Pixie has been by her side through thick and thin, and now she needs our help to make sure she can live the rest of her days surrounded by love and care, without her owner facing financial hardship.
