Little People's Learning Center is a small early learning center and kindergarten started by Daphne Maynard 33 years ago. It is now under the direction of Joy Maynard, Daphne’s daughter. Little People’s motto is "Learning with Love”. Little People’s Learning Center offers a full early childhood curriculum including French, Spanish, music and dance. Based on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, it has been an important part of our small island community.

In September of 2017, the Virgin Islands was hit by 2 devastating hurricanes. The first one, Irma, a category 5, tore off almost the entire roof of our main building. As we were all under curfew and unable to travel safely around the island, little could be done right away. Then came the second hurricane, Maria. Although the winds weren't as strong on St. Thomas, the rain from Maria was torrential. Without a roof, pretty much everything that was left in our building after the first hurricane was destroyed by the rain from the second But we are strong and determined! Little People’s relocated its campus for several months to a temporary location and as of April 2018 Little People’s is back to its original Havensight campus.

We still need help. Although we have been able to replace our roof and some of our materials, the estimated cost is $15,000 to finalize repairs and replace needed materials for the children.
Any donations will go towards the following:
• Replacing the ceiling in the main building
• Educational Toys
• School supplies
• Books
• Art Supplies
• Water and Daily needs (bug spray, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc.)
On behalf of the Little People, and the entire Virgin Islands community, thank you for your interest and support!
