Help for Lissa DeWitt
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Carrie Nicks-Henderson, and this is for my dear, sweet, beautiful Baffy.
As most of you probably do not know yet, Lissa has been diagnosed with a grade 2/3 brain tumor. It has been wreaking havoc on her body over the past year. Unfortunately, because the tumor is on the brainstem, it is inoperable. There are some therapies and/or radiation treatment plans that may be able to shrink the tumor and hopefully give Lissa back some sense of freedom and independence again, but she no longer has a job or health insurance as she has not been able to work since last summer.
If you know the DeWitt family, you know they are strong independent, hard-working people that don’t want to accept a hand out but this diagnosis (and my nagging) has convinced them to let me do this go fund me for Lissa to help pay for medical bills, possibly an apartment in Jacksonville if she is approved for this therapy, and also for the care of her beautiful, firecracker five-year-old boy, who she can no longer care for alone.
Currently her sister, Amy DeWitt, and her mother Susan are providing full-time physical and financial care.
Lissa remains positive and upbeat and willfully independent and with a little help, some hope, and some prayers, we can get her back to enjoying life with her family and her son.
Please help us get this out to the community, to local businesses, and to anyone else that can help combat the mounting financial debt that has already started to build. We just need Lissa and Amy and Susan to focus on her health and healing and not to have to worry about all the other stressful financial details.
Thank you in advance for donating, for sharing, and for caring. Much Love ❤️
