On September 26, 2024, Hurricane Helene ripped through Horseshoe Beach and left Donnie and Lisa Ownby, along with their community, in complete destruction. They did not have flood insurance, and they are having to stay in a hotel as the home is unlivable and has left them homeless. They have experienced 3 hurricanes in the past year, and it has been extremely hard to catch up and navigate this extremely catastrophic event!!! If there is any way you can help I know they would greatly appreciate it!! All fund will go straight to Lisa and Donnie Ownby to help off set some cost that they are having to spend for hotel stays, gas and food.
