I'm Kathleen and I created this fundraiser to help our granddaughter Linleigh have her third open heart surgery the summer of 2023. Since her surgery, Linleigh had many complications and was transferred to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in January of 2024. She finally came home in February (see updates.)

Linleigh was born in May of 2019 with a severe heart defect: critical aortic stenosis and hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which means only the right side of her heart is functioning. In the first weeks and months of her life, she had two open heart surgeries to help the right side of her heart work for the whole body.

Thankfully, Linleigh has had no complications and is developing very normally and has a healthy immune system. Her abundant blonde hair, big smile, and drama queen personality are a joy to all who know her. She also loves being big sister to her baby brother Fletcher, born in December of 2022.

Now as she is nearly four years old, it's time for her to have her third surgery, the Fontan. This surgery will require a trip to Denver with all the expenses that entails, and a hospital stay of unknown length. However, Linleigh will not be cured; she will still have only half of a functioning heart and will doubtless need future procedures, surgeries, and possibly even a heart transplant.

Linleigh has good medical insurance for which her parents, Kaleb and Brenna Price, are thankful. But help will be needed for travel, housing, meals, copays, and unexpected expenses in the future. Thanks for any help you can give.
