Help for Liam’s care & expenses

Hi. I am starting this for my sister Jeanette, to hopefully ease a little bit of her worries.

My nephew Liam is 4. He is so smart and funny and loving and such a sweet boy. He had an MRI on April 24th and they found a tumor on the pons of his brain stem. Liam was immediately transported to CHOP by ambulance where he underwent a biopsy on April 26th. We were praying for a miracle, but unfortunately on Friday they received the worst possible results. Liam has DMG, formerly known as DIPG. It’s a very aggressive brain cancer. There is no cure. There is no positive outcome. The cancer has intermingled with his brain and Central Nervous System.

We brought Liam home from CHOP yesterday. He is not allowed to have any physical activity or go to pre-k any longer. My sister will have to stay home and be his caregiver full time which has resulted in her ultimately losing her job. They say it takes a village, and it really does. Our hearts are completely shattered and we are trying to figure out how to navigate this all.

I am asking for any help for her and her family during this time so that she can have a little weight lifted off of her. The only thing she needs to focus on is Liam and his siblings. Although the inevitable is hard to swallow, we also want to make sure that the time we have left with Liam is the best time of his life. So any donations would be so helpful and appreciated.
