Help for Leslie and her Family

On New Year's Eve, Leslie Gibson suffered a rare type of heart failure due to complications from a minor surgery. Since that night, Leslie has fought hard and is improving little by little under the care of a great medical team at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Denver.  Her condition has improved to stable but critical as the team works to help her heart heal.  The official diagnosis is Takosubo cardiomyopathy - also known as "Broken Heart Syndrome." Leslie is strong, and she is a fighter - both traits that will help her get through this.  Over the years, Leslie has given much of herself to others as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, midwife and nurse practitioner. As she heals and returns to full health, she will no doubt continue to care for her community. Her family is by her side to help her - and each other - through this time.  We appreciate your donation to help defray the costs of life-saving medical treatment for Leslie and additional expenses unexpectedly placed on her family.
