Help for Lauren

Lauren is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She is always helping others, wether it’s through her job as a Registered Nurse or simply her giving nature, she is always finding ways to help someone. Even with her broken ankle and not being able to work she is helping others but she needs help now.

Lauren has been out of work since September 11th when she broke her ankle, unfortunately it had been misdiagnosed which has caused more damage. She is going to need ligament surgery after she completes 8 weeks of Physical Therapy. Copay for PT 3times a week is $50 each visit. Unfortunately FMLA doesn’t pay you while you are on leave and it only protects your job for 12weeks. Now her FMLA has expired and she will have a new deductible starting in January.

Lauren also has a rare form of Skin Cancer, Gorlin Syndrome and it is spreading fast. While not working and being unable to drive the cost of treatment is adding up. She has to cover her Chemotherapy possible Radiation, travel back and forth to Moffit Cancer Center, another major surgery on December 28th for tumors on her chest and she doesn’t have the short or long term disability benefits from work.

The cost of treatment both Cancer and recovery for her ankle are very overwhelming and now more then ever Lauren needs our help. Please help to cover medical expenses and travel expenses so Lauren can continue to get the treatment she needs to continue to be a part of our lives.
