Help for Laney Carter

We have been posting about our 16 year old granddaughter  Laney Carter,daughter of Gail and Louie Workman. She was a vibrant ,funny, smart, normal teenage Sweetheart who is still in a horrific  situation,battling for her life.

Following a boating accident,our girl suffered a stroke and we lost her. She was revived,and was put on life support.  It was ONLY after testing that she was diagnosed  with Chiari Malformation and underwent  surgery to remove a portion of the skull to allow for the swelling ( it didn't swell anymore,but has not gone down yet). We have come through the 72 hr window with minimal change,unfortunately. Doctors are optimistic,saying sometimes things take longer to heal and they are hopeful parts of the brain will begin working again ,however,even though she is able to wake up, currently she remains  paralyzed. Laney did have surgery  to remove the tracea yesterday, it was successful PRAISE GOD however she remains on the ventilator currently. 

Unfortunately she also tested positive for Covid and has all along been quarantined. We are coming to FB today not only for our Very NEEDED prayer warriors, but also asking  for help with multiple expenses. She is in Cooks Children's  Hospital in Fort Worth,Texas but her family actually traveled there from their home In Hugo,Oklahoma.This has been a nightmare of an ordeal that is far from over, and at times has been hour by hour. There isn't much else that can be done to offer help except continued prayers and we have set up this go-fund-me page. Hopefully this will make it easier for family and friends to make donations on her behalf and offer a bit of relief and love.  Thank you so much in advance and we will continue to keep you all updated.
